PEC-1000 (1967) - The PEC (Projector Electronic Control) is one of the first automation systems for 35mm sold in the United States, released by National Theatre Supply in 1967. A programmable unit capable of automating transitions including lamp strikes, masking changes, and auditorium lights for up to five reels, in practice the unit was primarily used to automate a single changeover for two projectors running hour-long reels.
